Medicare Made Simple for Michigan Seniors

Turning 65 or approaching Medicare eligibility? We're CMS-certified Medicare advisors who help you understand every option and enroll in the plan that's right for you — at no cost to you.

Understanding Your Medicare Options

Medicare has multiple parts, and choosing the wrong combination can cost you thousands of dollars a year. As an independent Medicare advisor, we compare plans across multiple carriers to find the best coverage for your specific doctors, medications, and budget.

Medicare Plan Options

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. Often includes prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, and hearing benefits.

Best for: Those wanting comprehensive coverage in one plan, often with $0 premiums

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Fills the gaps in Original Medicare — covering copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. Works alongside Parts A and B for predictable out-of-pocket costs.

Best for: Those who want freedom to see any Medicare-accepting doctor nationwide

Medicare Part D (Prescription Drugs)

Standalone prescription drug coverage that works with Original Medicare or a Medigap plan. Covers a wide range of brand-name and generic medications.

Best for: Anyone on Original Medicare who needs prescription drug coverage

Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans

Plans for individuals who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. Coordinates benefits from both programs for comprehensive, low-cost coverage.

Best for: Low-income seniors who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid

Medicare Enrollment Periods

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP)

Begins 3 months before your 65th birthday month and ends 3 months after. This is your first opportunity to enroll in Medicare.

Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)

October 15 – December 7 each year. You can switch Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, and changes take effect January 1.

Special Enrollment Period (SEP)

Triggered by qualifying life events such as losing employer coverage, moving, or changes in Medicaid eligibility.

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment

January 1 – March 31 each year. If you're already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch to another MA plan or return to Original Medicare.
